What could be more Colorado than Blue Spruce? Here is a young Colorado Blue Spruce from my yard poking its needles through a just budding bush of yellow mums.

Manisha - These blue spruce reminds me of the Bottle brush flower which is red in color. They are similar in appearance.
N&M, blue spruce is the state tree of Colorado. I've always loved the silvery-blue color of the foliage. It isn't particularly useful for timber but works very well as wind-breakers, which we desperately need here in the foothills! This has been my favorite evergreen so I was really thrilled when I found a young blue spruce in my yard when we moved to Louisville. Here is a picture of my Colorado blue spruce last winter.
